It’s Just Another Dating Blog

With that being said, I’m a lot older than I was in my 20’s and I’ve noticed that the “scene” has changed tremendously since I last put myself out there.

Let’s start with first things first. Who am I and what qualifies me to write a dating blog?

I am a single female. I’m in my early 30’s. I’ve been in the dating scene since August 2015 and I’ve got some pretty hilarious stories. I like to think that the aforementioned reasons are enough to qualify me to write a dating blog, right? I think so.

One of the questions that I get asked a lot is why am I not married. The answer is because I don’t want to get married and so I’ve never made dating a priority.  I’ve had two great loves in my life and each one did not work out. Given, I loved one more than the other, but that is completely normal, is it not? Why did they not work out? I was too young for one and didn’t know how to make it work long distance and the other took 9 years out of my life (in 3 year parts) and then decided that he couldn’t be faithful.

My philosophy for dating has always been that you date when you are ready to find the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. That’s it. It’s not for kicks, it’s not for games, it’s to find the person that you would like to spend your life with.

With that being said, I’m a lot older than I was in my 20’s and I’ve noticed that the “scene” has changed tremendously since I last put myself out there. So here are a few stories of the good, bad, and the ugly “dates” (referring to both the action of dating and the men that I’ve talked to) that I have had to sit and/or live through while dating in my 30’s.

I hope you enjoy them.
